'And what are you trying to achieve?'
'Firstly, it is engagement of the audience.
The final rendition of an image must be strong enough to capture attention, to arouse curiosity and hold it.
To do this I try to elicit some form of emotion that compels the viewer to connect with the subject.

For example, occasionally I employ post-capture composite or blending techniques to provide some complimentary texture to image backgrounds. This can have the effect of suggesting to the audience, a more classic or aged theme.
When these techniques are applied to images of 'Vulnerable Species', the subliminal reminder is that the highlighted species has a limited life to run before extinction - for some, they are almost 'aged'; almost gone.
Secondly, I am asking something more of the viewer. It could be indirectly challenging them, asking a question of them or it could be a call to action.
ref 'What can we do as individuals?'
At the very least, I hope to raise awareness of threatened species and the need to conserve nature in a holistic way, thereby stimulating further discussion.
Thirdly, I am inviting people to donate funds directly to accredited conservation organizations.
